case worker N.Y.C.: 1965 -1991
Senior case worker, supervisor, trainer; procedure writer, program designer etc. 26 years. changed jobs within the agency every year and a half: I did it all!
Award: Women of the Year. I forgot which years

Formed Women In City Government United (three members, then only one but no one knew that). Fought for and won Maternity Leave without penalty to women(I even got workman's comp for women on leave and child care for men(first ever)
authored and fought for sex neutral tables which earn N.Y.C.women equal pay into their pension system and equal pay upon retirement without penalty to the aggrieved party.
Established private Psycho-analytic practice with the help of NPAP.
Retired in 1991 and have been relaxing, having fun ever since.

hobbies: my whole life is a hobby:

JUDO, T'ai-Chi and push hands, Yoga, Writing(film reviewer for wbai radio and producer of The Women's Collective, until 2011), Painting, Ceramics, Learning the computer. Am currently doing research on a subject I hope will one day materialize into a book as opposed to a manuscript.
reading and avoiding TV even when in a bar or restaurant.
being a grandmother which is easier but only slightly than being a single mother. I recently left Brooklyn to join my children in bitter cold Chicago.
the weather has been kind this year. and going to the Zoo to see the Apes and take pictures without a glare. And learning to cook, at last!

I am still hoping for that Revolution we thought/hoped/foresaw while in college. Patching up Capitalism doesn't work. We have been there, done that and failed.
Time to move on.
