Richard Fine

I have been married to Dianna Kaplan from Detroit since 1965. We have two children, Marci and Jason who both live near us in St. Louis. Marci is not married and our son, Jason, just had twin girls in January 2009. We hope to spoil them with love and attention.

I graduated from the University of Michigan with a BBA in 1964 and an MBA in 1965.

After graduation, I worked for a bank in Detroit for 10 years and then moved to St. Louis as the CFO of a public company listed on the NYSE. After two years, I went back into banking in St. Louis and in 1980 I started on a career in Real Estate. I've been self employed since 1982. Currently, I have five partners and we acquire shopping centers in small tertiary communities around the Mid-West. We also purchase industrial properties in second tier cities as well.

Golf, Gardening, Travel

I have served on the Board of Traditional Congregation for over 25 years and I'm a past president of the congregation. I was the president of a B'nal B'rith chapter in Detroit and the St. Louis chapter of the American Jewish Committee.

I have been on the board of the St. Louis Business Development Corporation for over 30 years and have been the president of that organization twice. I was also the president of the St. Louis County Industrial Development Authority and was a board member of the St. Louis County Economic Council.
