Riki Kane Larimer

I was married to a wonderful guy --- Bob Larimer --- for 30+ years --- Unfortunately he died suddenly on August 14, 2014. He was in the gym with his trainer and out of the blue, boom, that was it! This was a huge shock to all of us but I am grateful he did not suffer or linger. Bob was 85 and lived an exciting and full life right up to the very end. I have a great deal of support from friends and family and feel fortunate to have had so many terrific years with such an interesting, talented, amazing man. Now I am moving on with my life and already enjoying the next chapter.

In November 2013, after 31 years in business, I sold my company, Metrokane, inc. makers of the famous Rabbit and Houdini brands of wine accessories. We sold to a housewares company based in Chicago, Taylor Precision, owned primarily by the New York private equity group, Centre Partners. I began my new career as a theatrical producer in October with the London production of "Memphis" which is currently a huge hit at the Shraftsbury theater on the west end. I then joined the team of "On The Town" running now at the Lyric Theater on Broadway. I am what's called "an above title producer" with bio in the playbill and should we be lucky enough to get a tony nomination for best musical revival, I will attend the tonys and if we win, I will go up on stage! (at 4' 10" I better be in front or nobody will ever see me!) I am also invested in a unique up-and-coming production of "Around the World in 80 Days" which is opening in San Francisco in April. In one year I hope to be a full member of the League of Broadway Producers which, among other benefits, will make me a tony voter. Living in Manhattan, being on the board of the York Theatre Company, a member of the Friars Club and totally immersed in theater has opened an entire new chapter for me. I am so excited to be part of this exciting world.

I am an avid tennis player -- play ladies' doubles 3 times a week.... Summer at the East Hampton Tennis Club, winter at Roosevelt Island Racquet Club. Love movies and theater and living in the big apple, I manage to see almost everything. Enjoy black jack in casinos and addicted to scrabble on line. I also love to cook and entertain and crazy about my puppy Miki who has been a huge help getting me through the loss of my husband.
I have always been a major Yankee fan and attend many of the home games.

On the board of the York Theatre Company. Active participant in the Democratic National Committee. Associate member of the League of Broadway Producers.

I support a wide assortment of charities and organizations including:
Jazz at Lincoln Center, Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor, The York Theater in NY, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Marjorie's Fund for Diabetes education, The Harlem Children's Zone, Bette Midler's New York Restoration Project, Sloan Kettering, Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation and many others. I was recently honored by the American Kidney Fund and a few years earlier my husband and I were honored by the Shield Institute.
