I have worked with learning disabled high school students, multiply handicapped children aged 5 to 21, and am presently working in a Queens Elementary School with children diagnosed with Emotional Disturbances.

Initially I was a 3rd grade teacher in Silver Spring, Maryland while Mickey was going to Georgetown Law School in the evening and working for the Patent Office during the day.

When we moved back to NY and to our first home in Dix Hills, I was a partner with Polly Hammer in a business that supplied plants to hospital gift shops. I then became an interior plantscaper and decorated businesses and homes with greenery.

I enjoy working with children. Even though I no longer work with plants as a business, I enjoy having plants inside and outside our new home in a retirement community (The Greens in Melville)--even though we are not retired.
There is a golf course here and we enjoy playing golf.
